MR4B in the implementation phase

The alliance aims to develop and apply mixed reality-based software solutions and device combinations in conjunction with AI technologies. As part of the alliance, a centre of excellence for industrial mixed reality applications and AI is to be established for the Berlin metropolitan region. This will create a development environment in which mixed reality applications can become part of everyday life in future working environments. Regional companies can thus be strengthened and enabled to shape the digital transformation together and in a targeted manner.

The vision of the WIR! alliance MR4B is to develop an innovation ecosystem in which users, technology companies, educational institutions, associations and social institutions can network and mixed reality applications with high excellence and quality can be developed for the global market.

The WIR! alliance is led by X-Visual Technologies and the Creative Media research group at HTW Berlin and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

In September 2021, the MR4B Alliance started the implementation phase.
