IDunion enters second funded project phase

• The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) has selected IDunion for the second phase of the innovation competition "Showcase Secure Digital Identities".
• The three-year implementation phase started on 1 April 2021. 
• The goals of this new project phase include the establishment of a European cooperative, the launch of the production network and the implementation of more than 40 different pilot applications from several application areas.

IDunion, an open ecosystem for trusted identities, started on 01 April 2021 in the second project phase funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) as part of the innovation competition "Schaufenster Sichere Digitale Identitäten". The showcase projects are an innovation competition of the Federal Government for the development of digital solutions for identity management in Germany. It is based on the funding framework "Entwicklung digitaler Technologien". The theme of the competition is the development and everyday testing of outstanding approaches for the broad application of secure digital identities.
