Future of Festivals: Shaping the Future of the Festival Industry – Looking Ahead to the Challenges of the 2027 Festival Season!
Future of Festivals is the leading industry gathering for festival organizers, service providers, associations, decision-makers, and emerging professionals in the festival sector. The event will take place at Station Berlin on Wednesday, 25 November, and Thursday, 26 November 2026—for the first time in the middle of the week. This year, more than 9,000 participants from around the world are expected to travel to Berlin. The unique combination of innovation, knowledge exchange, conference sessions, and networking opportunities is being further expanded to engage not only established industry experts but also a wide range of new stakeholders from across the event ecosystem.
The biggest new feature this year is the EventTech Area, which will be integrated into Future of Festivals and serve as a platform where technology, innovation, and the events industry come together. Within a curated exhibition space, Berlin-based start-ups, scale-ups, and SMEs, among others, will showcase their latest solutions in digitalization, artificial intelligence, sustainable event production, and smart event technologies.
The exhibition will be complemented by keynotes, masterclasses, networking sessions, and matchmaking formats designed to foster exchange between technology providers and event organizers while enabling new collaborations. The EventTech Area will create a platform where innovations become visible, knowledge is shared, and valuable business connections are made. By launching the EventTech Area, Future of Festivals strengthens Berlin’s position as a hub for innovation and establishes a central meeting point for the technologies that are shaping the future of the events industry.
The project is funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises.
