Extended Reality is already supporting diagnostics, therapy, and rehabilitation today. For certain indications, such as anxiety disorders, a robust evidence base is already available. Nevertheless, the transition from clinical studies into widespread healthcare adoption remains rare.
To address this challenge, the Digital Health Chapter of Extended Reality Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. brings together experts from healthcare, research, and industry. The discussion will focus on reimbursement and financing models, requirements regarding evidence and standards, and the integration of XR solutions into clinical workflows. A case study from the Netherlands will illustrate how additional reimbursement for VR-supported therapy has already been implemented in practice.
Following the panel discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to experience and test various VR solutions on site.
The symposium serves as the official kick-off event for MindXR 2027, which will be organized by XRBB from 30 June to 2 July 2027 at the Kaiserin Friedrich Haus in Berlin.
